LITHOS

LITHOS looks at stone the way a quarry does — in section. Travertine bedding, the ochre bloom in a cut face, limestone edges softened by decades of weather. The chapter treats geology as pattern: strata that drift rather than repeat mechanically, breccia scattered at a scale that reads as material at three metres and as drawing at thirty centimetres. Colour stays in travertine, clay, ochre and limestone, with an olive note to keep it from turning decorative. It is the architectural chapter — courtyards, resorts and contract interiors where the textile must sit beside real masonry without imitating it.
