The material
Outdoor textiles have long been engineered to endure, but too often at the expense of touch. We begin somewhere else: with cotton — substantial, matte and familiar.
Every design in MARE NATURA is produced on one of two commercial bases. Both are 100% cotton and both are digitally printed, and between them they hold every design in the collection.
The heavier panama leads on hero upholstery and substantial outdoor cushions. The gabardine gives a smoother surface, sharper pattern definition and carries the coordinates.
Weight is not decoration. A heavy weave holds its shape on a cushion, takes colour without the pattern sinking into the surface, and drapes in a way that reads as furnishing rather than as covering.
The matte surface is a premium signal and a technical requirement at once. Sheen, a plastic hand or a hard coated appearance is grounds for rejecting a production lot.
P500
Tolerances, finished width, shrinkage and usable surface are confirmed per lot by the technical team. Nominal values are always published together with the real tolerance.

What 100% cotton does and does not mean
"100% cotton" describes the fibre composition. It says nothing about the chemistry of the finish, which is verified separately.
Water repellency and waterproofness are not the same thing. A repellent surface makes water bead and run; waterproofness is a measured resistance to pressure and normally requires a coating.
50,000 Martindale indicates abrasion resistance. On its own it indicates nothing about UV, rain, mildew or general outdoor suitability.
Cotton naturally holds moisture and can dry more slowly than a synthetic fibre. Use, care and protection recommendations are stated openly rather than left for the customer to discover.
Retail and contract programmes share a 150 cm finished width. Plan cutting and pattern alignment against the specified repeat and the usable width confirmed for the production lot.

When a finish recipe changes, the product is treated as a new version. An old test report is never carried across to a new recipe.
The following are not part of the main collection promise. Each is developed per project, and each requires its own SKU and its own price because it affects cost, hand, appearance and environmental profile.
